The details
This is a large desk mat in PU leather, which is a leather-look plastic coating rather than real leather. It measures 80 x 40 cm, covers the area under a keyboard, mouse and notebook, and has a non-slip base so it stays put on a flat desk.
The smooth surface wipes clean with a damp cloth, so it also protects a desk from coffee rings and scratches. The supplier lists it as waterproof and easy to clean, and describes the material as free of high-concern chemicals.
As with most PU leather items, there can be a faint plastic smell when it arrives that fades after airing for a day or two. Keep it away from heat and sharp tools. Colours are pale mauve, black, brown and sky blue; shades on screen may differ slightly from the real mat.
