About the set
Paldean Fates arrived on 26 January 2024 as the Scarlet & Violet answer to the Shining Fates and Hidden Fates sets that came before it — a 91-card base list where almost the entire Paldea regional dex appears in shiny form, expanding to 245 cards once the shiny secrets are counted. The mini tins followed two weeks later on 9 February in a five-artwork assortment, each with a sticker sheet and an art card, the five cards forming one continuous illustration when placed together.

They are printed for a short window, they are opened relentlessly for the shiny secrets, and they are not reprinted — Paldean Fates has been out of print since 2024 and rotated out of Standard play in April 2026, which removed the last reason anyone had to keep opening it. Sealed tins now trade at several times the roughly 10 euro they were sold for, and the scarcer artworks in the assortment trade at double the common ones.
