About the set
Mega Evolution opened a new English series on 26 September 2025 across a 188-card list, and brought back a mechanic the game had not built a format around for years. Mega Evolution is the mechanic most associated with the game's mid-2010s peak, and here it returns as Mega Evolution Pokémon ex — worth three Prize cards rather than two — which makes it the biggest structural change to the English format in a long time.
