The details
This is a 200 x 230 cm, 2 kg duvet. The supplier states that the filling is 100% mulberry silk and that the cover is 100% cotton at 500 thread count, quilted so the filling stays evenly spread.
Silk filling is lighter and smoother than most synthetic fills and is sold as breathable. The supplier calls it an all-season quilt and describes it as most suited to colder months, so treat it as a warm duvet rather than a summer one.
Care matters with silk. The supplier lists it as not washable, so use a duvet cover and air the quilt regularly rather than machine washing it. Please check the label when it arrives, because the fibre content comes from the supplier and has not been tested by us. Colour options are pink, grey, white and blue; the photo shows the grey.
