About the set
Heat Wave Arena is a Japanese sub-set released on 14 March 2025, sitting between the numbered main expansions. Its 92-card list is built around the Trainer's Pokémon mechanic, pairing well-known characters — Ethan, Cynthia, Arven and Misty among them — with the Pokémon they battle alongside. Sub-sets are deliberately narrow, which concentrates the chase cards into a far smaller pool than a 250-card English expansion offers. The set has never had an English release; "Heat Wave Arena" is the trade translation of 熱風のアリーナ used by importers and retailers.
