About the set
Shiny Treasure ex is the December 2023 high-class expansion, and it does one thing exceptionally well: it fills a set almost entirely with shiny variants. High-class sets are the Japanese market's premium tier — ten cards a pack rather than five, a far higher proportion of rares, and print treatments that do not appear in standard expansions. At 360 cards it was the largest Japanese expansion released to that point, and it went on to become the source set for the English release Paldean Fates.
