About the set
VSTAR Universe released on 2 December 2022 as the High Class Pack that closed the Sword & Shield era in Japan, 172 cards in the base list and 262 in total. High Class Packs are year-end sets: the list is drawn largely from cards printed across the preceding year, reissued with a far heavier weighting toward Special Art Rares and gold Ultra Rares than a standard expansion carries. That is what the format is for, and it is why the packs hold 10 cards rather than 5. Its contents overlap with the English release Crown Zenith without being identical to it. Note that Japanese-language cards are not legal in tournament play outside Japan.
